Finishing The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix for the… third time?

I am like a small creature swallowed whole by a monster … and the monster feels my tiny little movements inside.

The series is awesome but a massive departure from the Shirley Jackson book. But that quote appears in both. And beautiful little chimes like that ring through the series over and over that make it worth the rewatch. The first time it was unsettling and creepy, but rewatches are an opportunity to bask in the extreme excellence of that production.

Anyway, that quote makes me think of the institutions that depend on us for their survival, as citizens, or customers. I wonder if they feel our tiny little movements.
